With the small TE 10 mono output stages we are doing justice to the wish expressed by many, tor a small audiophile output stage. One that is small and handy, featuring a sophisticated design and outstanding sound which leaves no wishes unfulfilled. The TE 10 offers authentic music reproduction without entering into any essential compromises. lt teatures an adequate power output for smal and medium-size living rooms and high stability as well as impulse fidelity through speakers ot medium or good efficiency. Thanks to its design and output, it is also suitable for sophisticated surround systems.
lt conveys nothing but music. Important teatures ot the TE 10 are a very compact design, extremely short signal paths for pure sound and a high Class A setting. The entire electronic circuitry except for the transformer is accommodated on a PC board with 120 µm copper coating. High-speed rectifier diodes and capacitors with a charge Capacitance ot 44.000 µF and an isolated input stage power supply are located at the input of the power supply unit. As there are no capacitors in the signal path, the TE 10 is equipped with a DC control circuit. The output stage also teatures a DC protection circuit, a delayed power-on control and a special relay with a leading tungsten contact to make sure that the silver-plated relay contacts will guarantee the best transitions and will have a long useful life. The power transistors are bipolar ,Sanken' that also possess good power reserves.
The input impedance (3 kOhm) is very low, thus arriving at an improved current tlow in the signal cable. lf required, this input impedance can be changed to a higher value (33 kOhm) by simply removing a resistor. Preamplifiers with an output impedance trom 1 Ohm to 200 Ohm are excellently suitable for the low impedance version ot the TE 10. As a design variant, the output stage can also be ordered with a chrome or gold front at an extra charge.
